HSFD teams up with WeatherSTEM and Emergency Management to launch all-new weather station.

Your High Springs Fire Department is proud to announce the launch of an all-new WeatherSTEM weather station at the High Springs fire station. This new system was installed at no cost to High Springs residents, thanks to a grant from Florida Division of Emergency Management and their Florida Severe Weather Network (FSWN) program.

This unit is rated to withstand wind gusts of up to 185 mph - the likes of which we hope we never see in High Springs! It features WeatherSTEM DataStream enhancement, updating almost every second with real-time conditions. The system is solar powered and cellular so if the electricity and/or Internet is interrupted, the system will still be fully operational. We also now offer live video streaming with the new and improved “cloud camera.”

To view the station, visit https://alachua.weatherstem.com/fswnhighspringsfire or download the WeatherSTEM app and search for FSWN High Springs Fire.
