Squad 296, a 2008 Ford F-450/Pierce Light Rescue, functions as a backup response vehicle and will respond to medical emergencies, vehicle crashes with entrapment, and technical rescues, as needed. Squad 296 also provides medical standby at special events and supports our Community Risk Reduction team. This unit is equipped with extrication tools (commonly known as Jaws of Life), scene lighting, ventilation fans, and medical gear, including a cardiac monitor.
