ACCOUNTS MANAGER-FINANCE DEPARTMENT– Full-Time- Responsible for accounting work in maintaining accounting records, financial accounts, accounts payable, purchase orders, and cash receipts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:       

  • Posts entries and maintains journals, ledgers and other records.

  • Reconciles, classifies, and records daily receipts and disbursements journal entries. Total and balance monthly, posts to general ledger. Assists with closing entry preparations. 

  • Audits petty cash funds.

  • Ensures records are in compliance with purchasing policy.

  • Checks for accuracy for all invoices and accounts payable records and processes checks for distribution.

  • Maintains vendor filing system. 

  • Answers correspondence and telephone inquiries.

  • Prepares various reports, forms and statements.

  • Processes and verifies credit balance and deposit refunds,, and ensure refund checks are mailed.

  • Monitors delinquent and collection account functions.

  • Researches and obtains information to assist customers resolve utility invoices. 

  • Performs other assigned duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: 

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting-Preferred.  

  • Two (2) years of experience involving bookkeeping or accounting procedures with experience in computer programs, spreadsheet operations, accounts payable and experience with customer service work.

Starting Pay Range- $22.87- $24.00 per hour plus benefits depending on qualifications and experience.
