FULL-TIME SERVICE WORKERPump Maintenance Technician- City of High Springs – Utilities Department

The City of High Springs is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Pump Maintenance Technician to join our Utilities team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the City’s wastewater collection system.

Position Overview

The Pump Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the City’s grinder pump systems. Key duties include:

  • Rebuilding and repairing City-owned grinder pumps
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
  • Managing and maintaining inventory of spare parts
  • Assisting Collections staff with troubleshooting residential grinder pumps and related electrical systems
  • Preparing invoices for customer‑caused grinder pump damage
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Florida Driver License
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
  • Basic understanding of—or willingness to learn—wastewater system operations
  • Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour

Additional Requirements
