Do you know how wide, and where the “right of way” on your property is? It varies depending on the lot, and where in town you’re located. A good rule of thumb is at least ten feet, with many residential lots being twenty feet or more.

When erecting a fence, planting a garden, or performing other landscape/hard scape projects on your property, ensure you find the proper measurements.

To do this, you may search your address at https://mapgenius.alachuacounty.us/ or call our planning department at 386-454-7322 Option 1, and we can look it up for you!
