Celebrating Service and New Beginnings in High Springs

During the November 14th Commission meeting, The City of High Springs celebrated a milestone in leadership and public service. Commissioner Byran Williams was honored for his remarkable 20 years of dedication and commitment to the community. As Commissioner Williams stepped down from the High Springs Dais one final time, he shared with the community his intent to run for County Commission in 2026.

 

The meeting also marked a new chapter, as Chad Howell and Katherine Weitz officially took their oaths of office as city commissioners. Commissioner Howell in his first term, and Weitz in her second.

 

Congratulations to Commissioner Williams, Commissioner Howell, and Commissioner Weitz! Thank you for serving our community and making High Springs a wonderful place to live and work.

 

Also during the meeting, Commissioners voted on a new mayor and vice-mayor for the 2024-2025 term. Vice-Mayor Grunder was selected as Mayor, and Commissioner Miller as Vice-Mayor.
