We encourage all residents to remain at home. Crews continue to respond to downed trees and wires. A majority of High Springs remains without power. Restoration efforts will take time, as utility companies have numerous areas to address.
Nearly two dozen roads are currently closed throughout the city. Please visit tinyurl.com/helenemap to see a current road closure map. If you see a downed tree or powerline, call or text 911.
All curbside pickup for Friday is suspended. A new collection day will be announced pending further damage assessment, but no firm day is set.
