Duke Energy and its mutual aid partners continue to assess and repair damaged lines and poles throughout the city.
Duke expects to restore power for most customers by Sunday, September 29th, at 11:59PM; however, many will be restored sooner.
Several commenters have said, "I haven't seen a Duke truck." It's important to remember that utility companies receive mutual aid from all over the country during situations like this. Crews from Ohio were seen working on 441 yesterday. Just because the line truck doesn't say "Duke" doesn't mean they aren't working to restore power to High Springs.
Clay Electric doesn't have an estimated time of restoration currently, but shared this update this morning at 8AM:
"Overall, we have more than halved the number of members without power due to Major Hurricane Helene.
Our lineworkers, assisted by mutual aid crews, will be busy throughout the day. At this hour, there are 1,150 active outages impacting approximately 47,000 members."
