The WeatherStem weather station at the High Springs fire station officially recorded 4.97 inches of rain today. There are reports of some areas south of town receiving 7+ inches.

A Flood WATCH is in effect until early tomorrow morning. A river flood warning remains in effect. The Santa Fe River will continue to rise until this weekend.

Some area roadways remain under water. US-27 between Bev's and 441 will likely be closed for a day or two. Please remember, turn around, don't drown.

The forecast is calling for scattered thunderstorms tomorrow and Friday. Be alert for fallen trees, and the potential for further scattered power outages
