. Fees and Public Records Policy Notice (Please Read)

  • Florida law provides the public with the right to inspect or obtain copies of non-exempt public records.
  • Requests may be made verbally or in writing and anonymously.
  • The City must respond in good faith and within a reasonable time.
  • Exempt or confidential information will be redacted as required by law.
  • The City is not required to create new records or reformat existing records.
  • Fees may apply for extensive use of technology or staff services.

The City of High Springs charges fees in accordance with Florida Statutes and the City's Records Policy

Copy Costs (Standard Fees)

  • Black & White copies up to 8.5" x 14": $0.15 per one-sided page, $0.20 per two-sided page
  • Certified copies: $1.00 per document
  • All other copies: Actual cost of duplication
  • First ten (10) pages per week per requestor are free

Special Service Charges

A charge may apply if responding to the request requires:

  • More than 15 minutes of staff time
  • Extensive clerical assistance, supervisory assistance, or IT resources

Charges are based on the lowest-paid employee capable of performing the task, computed in 15‑minute increments.
