On May 26, 2015, the High Springs Police Department received written correspondence that as a result of our efforts in developing a comprehensive traffic safety program, our department made a significant and positive impact in our Community by reducing traffic-related crashes, injuries, and fatalities. The Florida Law Enforcement Challenge rewards the best overall traffic safety programs in Florida. The areas of concentration include efforts to enforce laws and educate the public about occupant protection, impaired driving, and speeding, and other areas of traffic safety. The High Springs Police Department placed in the top three compared to similar-sized agencies in Florida based on the following data compiled for reporting years 2012, 2013, and 2014. The High Springs Police Department was featured on WCJB TV-20.
