Following the passage of Florida House Bill 657, which provides for automated enforcement of school zones when children are present, The City of High Springs is taking a proactive step to ensure the safety of our students by implementing photo-enforced speeding tickets in the High Springs Community School school zone on Main Street.
As of APRIL 19, 2024. Motorists will receive a warning for driving more than 10 miles over the posted speed limit.
Effective AUGUST 26, 2024, warnings will end, and violators will receive a citation and a $100 fine. The High Springs Police Department will review all violations, and no points will be imposed on the vehicle's owner.
