The City Clerk serves as the Supervisor of Elections for the City of High Springs. City elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. City Commissioners are elected to three-year terms.
Candidates for municipal office must file the appropriate forms with the City Clerk prior to opening a campaign account and to qualify for office. All elections shall be held in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter, Code of Ordinances and general elections laws of the state of Florida.

Qualifying Period
The qualifying period falls in July each year. Candidates shall qualify and pay the qualifying fee to the Office of the City Clerk, 23718 W. US Hwy 27, High Springs, FL 32643. The 2023 Qualifying fee is $111.24
